2019 RPG Vineyard Pinot Noir

A wonderfully bright single-vineyard Pinot Noir from a new Willamette Valley label, though winemaker David Paige has made Pinot in Oregon for 20 years. Rolling volcanic soils in the Eola-Amity Hills mark this estate site, known as RPG. This wine introduces itself with elegant aromatics, red currant, and wet terra cotta, soon turning towards black tea and fresh herbs. Flavours of sweet Lambert cherry, clove, and fresh mint, finished with black tea notes. Grace and delicacy are hallmarks of the wine's structure and long-lifted finish. - Clive Pursehouse
