94 Points - 2018 RPG Vineyard Pinot Noir

Deep, shimmering garnet. Intense, mineral-accented red and blue fruit aromas are complemented by suggestions of five-spice powder and candied flowers. Supple and appealingly sweet, offering concentrated black raspberry, cherry, boysenberry and rose pastille flavors accompanied by a smoky mineral flourish. Shows excellent clarity and spicy lift on the expansive finish, which is framed by polished, slow-building tannins. This 25-acre vineyard, now owned by David Paige and his partners, was planted in 1996 and was formerly called Z'IVO.
